Professor of Behavioural and Evolutionary Biology at the University of St Andrews, Kevin previously held positions at Cambridge university, UC Berkeley and University College London.
He has published over 300 scientific articles and 12 books, including Darwin’s Unfinished Symphony: How Culture Made the Human Mind (which won both the BPS best academic monograph prize and the Association of American Publishers’ PROSE award for Biological Science), and Niche Construction: The Neglected Process in Evolution. Kevin is an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and recipient of an ERC Advanced Grant.
